Antarctica, known as the frozen continent but is arguably the most beautiful. As the largest desert in the world and also home to 90% of the worlds fresh water, Antarctica is from another world.
The Antarctic ocean is perfectly clear and is filled with breathtaking icebergs. Start your journey by crossing Drake Passage by ship to enter the Antarctic world. Drake Passage is where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans converge and it contains some of the most challenging seas on earth.

Antarctica is home to many impressive glaziers giving a stunning magical landscape. Explore on foot or simply sit in the perfectly laid snow and take in the incredible world around you.

Antarctica is not only stunning landscapes. The wildlife in and around this continent is something even more special. From penguins, seals and whales. Walk amongst thousands of penguins as they gather around the frozen shores. Watch on as seals lay on icebergs in the winter sun and enjoy the whales giving a stunning display as they dive into the depths of the Antarctic ocean.

There are a number of stations in Antarctica for scientific research. Here you find out what the scientists do and explore the station. You can get your passport stamped here also and as there is a post office you can send letters and postcards home.

There are so many islands and continental landings available for you to explore in Antarctica, you will be sure to have many once in a lifetime experiences. If you are lucky, you may even witnessing part of a glazier breaking and crashing into the ocean. The sound is phenomanal as it echos and the huge waves it creates.

As you sail through the narrow passage into the flooded caldera of Deception Island, the view is truly amazing. Deception island is home to a stunning active volcano that erupt every 30 - 40 years. Go for a short hike up the volcano for fantastic views.

If you are feeling brave, at Deception Island you also have the chance to go for a chilly dip in the icy Antarctic waters! Enjoy!
