Drive into Oslo city centre seeing the pretty litte Norwegian houses and beautiful green landscapes. The excitement builds knowing your in new lands with new adventures awaiting!
On your way into Oslo, you may find yourself travelling through the Oslofjord Tunnel. Oslofjord Tunnel is a subsea road tunnel that reaches depths of 134 meters - Little fact for you!

In Olso city centre you will no doubt find yourself on Karl Johan's Gate. Karl Johan's Gate is the main street in Oslo. Here you can find many restuarants, cafe's, hotels and shops along with pretty courtyards and fountains that many of the locals relax in. The Royal Palace sits proud at the top of Karl Johan's Gate and was my first point of call!


The Royal Palace and Palace gardens are a beautiful area to visit. The Royal Palace is open to the public during the summer months. So that is a must! After your visit to the Palace you can relax in the Palace gardens like i did. This was one of my favourite places to visit. Here you are away from the crowds at the harbour to rest your feet after a busy day exploring!


The harbour is very beautiful, despite being one of the busiest places in Oslo. Here you can find many ships docked and even a cruise ship full of tourists. The harbour is lined with restaurants. You are definitely spoilt for choice!
I managed to find a quiet spot next to the harbour. This was one of my favourite places to visit to enjoy the morning sun!


If you love a bit of history then Akershus Fortress is a must. Here you can learn about Oslo's history with the added bonus of amazing views of Oslo. Tours of the Fortress are available during the summer months, or you can just explore by yourself! The Fortress is also a popular venue for major events, including concerts, holiday celebrations and ceremonies.
