Bruges

The beautiful city of Bruges feels more like a film set. The starting point for most people’s visit to Bruges is the city’s main square, the Markt, an impressive open space lined with 17th Century houses and the Belfort. The Belfort is an octagonal Bell tower. It dominates the Markt and is a major tourist attraction.

Europe has beautiful history in terms of its architecture and Belgium doesn’t disappoint. With beautiful horse and carts as city transport, you cannot miss out on everything Bruges has to offer with a beautiful horse as a guide.

Antwerp

Antwerp is a picturesque city that attracts tourists for its pretty cobbled streets and magnificent cathedral. The cathedreal sits proud in the centre of Antwerp, so it can't be missed! Explore the many chocolate shops and cafe's but if a picturesque view is more your setting, simply cross over the road to Antwerp's harbour

Across the road from those beautful streets filled with cafes you will find a castle. This castle sits next to the harbour. This a small castle but it gives an amazing view.

During my visit it was liberation day in Antwerp. I was lucky enough to watch the celebrations and the fantastic marching bands. Liberation day is celebrated to remember the day each city of Belgium was won back from the Germans during the war.

Everyone around the world may have heard of the great reputation of Belgium chocolate. You will be spoilt for choice for what chocolate to buy for your friends and family back home. But seen as we're in Antwerp, there is only the very best Antwerp biscuits!
