Budapest
The Hungarian Capital is split into two towns. Buda and Pest. The area is now known as Budapest. The Danube River runs beautifully between the two.
Budapest lit up at night is a truly incredible thing to experience - Just wow! The views are magnificent. The Danube River is lit up by its many bridges. One of those being the Chain Bridge. The Chain Bridge was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Hungary. The are so many bridges acroos the Danube in Hungary from old to new.


In Buda you can find some incredible views. These can be found in Castle Hill of the Castle district.
Buda Castle is situated here and is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian King in Budapest. Buda Castle can be seen from across the Danube, giving a breathtaking display when lit at night.


Fishermans Bastion is a viewing terrace where you can capture views of all of Budapest. Visiting Fishermans Bastion on a clear, sunny day and you will see why this is one of the favourite areas in the Castle district.


In Pest you can find even more impressive buildings. Heroes Square is one of the major squares in Budapest that features statues of important national leaders as well as the tomb of the unknown soldier. This is not a burial place, but a place in dedication to the services of an unknown solider. Heroes Square is a monument in memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of their people and national independence.


St Stephens Basilica is the most important church building in Hungary and is one of the most significant tourist attractions. This impressive building sits in front a large square. So you can stand back and enjoy the view!


The famous Parliament Building is found on the bank of the Danube River next to Chain Bridge. This important Hungarian attraction is the country’s largest building and one of the largest Parliament buildings in all of Europe.


Gyor
Gyor is very popular city in Hungary and is the most important city of North West Hungary. Sitting halfway between Budapest and Austria’s Capital of Vienna.
Walking through the ancient streets you will stumble across churches that have to be seen on the inside to understand what true beauty they are hiding.


Szechenyi square is the main square in Gyor. Now lined with buildings, this square used to be the centre of life in the middle ages.
