Berlin

Berlin is bursting with history. You can't not leave without being touched by it's famous past.
The Berlin Wall is a well known part of Germany history. Eventhough the wall was pulled down, part of the Berlin Wall is still standing and is now featured as part of a memorial.

Checkpoint Charlie was the best known Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War. This has been left in it's original state and is dressed with guards as it would have been at the time.

Brandenburg Gate is a triumphal arch in Berlin and one of the best known landmarks of Germany. It is built on the site of a former city gate that maked the start of the road from Berlin to the town of Brandenburg an der Havel. Brandenburg Gate is definitely worth a visit in the evening. To see it beautifully lit up, it takes the perfect photo.

The Holocaust memorial is a stunning area dedicated to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. This memorial has no signs or names of those who died. This memorial was designed to do more than inform you, it was designed to make you feel it too. The deeper you go into the memorial the more confused and disorientated you will feel. Such a scary feeling but very cleverly created.

Kieser Wilhelm Memorial Church is a breathtaking church with blue stain glass windows. This design is part of the new church construction. As you enter the church the light shining through this blue glass is simply stunning.

If you aren't a history buff you may think Berlin might not be for you with the thought of its history being seen at every corner. Fear not, the streets of Berlin aren't all full of history. There is a more modern side to this city. These streets of Berlin are thriving from the busy shopping malls and fantatic street artists.

Lübeck

Lübeck is a medieval city on the Trave river and is the largest German port of the Baltic sea. This medieval city has been preserved showing the wealth of the city in the middle ages. And so, the city of Lübeck rightly deserves its place on the list of UNESCO world heritage.

Holsten Gate is the city gate marking the boundary of the old centre of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. This gate is slightly tilted to one side. The locals joke it is twice as nice as Pisa in Italy as it has not one but two leaning towers.

Wurzberg

Wurzberg is a town surrounded by beautiful vineyards. Tractors can be seen tending to their crops. With the town set beautifully behind. It is like something from a movie.

The movie feel doesn’t stop there. Drive past the busy city of Frankfurt and the impressive Frankfurt skyline is something to say ‘Wow’ about.
