Tallinn is divided into the upper town and lower town. The upper town is more modern whereas the lower town is very medieval. Explore the lower town and you will find yourself on small cobbled streets and large squares that are filled with restaurants and cafes.

With the lower town being medieval themed, the buildings are dressed with flags, and shop owners in traditional medieval clothing. This is an incredible part of the city and so wonderfully preserved by the locals.

If you go to the upper town you can find the best view of the lower town. If you are on foot, it is quite a walk due the steep hills, but it is definitely worth this view! With the harbour in the distance and the terracotta roofs decorating the view - Perfect!

Tallinn Harbour is filled with boats, ferries and cruise ships. The view at dusk is stunning! Here you can join a simple crossing to Helsinki, Finland so you can discover beautiful Scandinavia too!
